Arrival at Entebbe

Uganda

On the second day of your tour, you'll head to Entebbe Airport in the morning for a light aircraft flight to Kasese Airstrip near Kibale Forest National Park. A private driver and 4x4 vehicle will be waiting to transfer you to your lodge. Alternatively, you can opt for an early morning drive to Kibale National Park with a packed breakfast. In the afternoon, explore the fascinating Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, renowned for primates like baboons, red colobus monkeys, and over 138 bird species, before returning to your hotel for the night.

Day 3

Entebbe to Kibale

After an early breakfast on day three, embark on a journey to explore Kibale Forest National Park, renowned for its diverse primate population, including unique chimpanzees and gorillas. At the visitor center, receive a briefing from park rangers before setting off to track chimpanzees and observe gorillas. Encounter other primates such as Black and White Colobus monkeys, L’Hoest monkeys, and Grey-cheeked Mangabeys, along with various bird species and occasional elephant sightings. Later, drive three hours to Queen Elizabeth National Park, enjoying breathtaking views of the Rwenzori Mountains if weather permits, and settle into your accommodation upon arrival.

Travel to Kibale Forest national park

After an early morning breakfast, embark on a safari drive to Kasenyi Track in the northern part of the park to seek out lions, solitary buffaloes, and elephants. The area's abundant Uganda Kobs make it an ideal spot for observing these big cats in action up close. Return to the lodge after the drive for lunch and relaxation. Later, enjoy a Kazinga Channel boat cruise, encountering diverse wildlife like elephants, buffaloes, Nile crocodiles, and a variety of birds such as pink-backed pelicans and kingfishers along the shores.

Queen Elizabeth National Park

On day five, explore the scenic Kyambura Gorge, carved by the Kyambura River, with its lush riparian forest. Guided by a Uganda Wildlife Authority ranger, track the resident chimpanzee community. Later, venture to the Ishasha sector for a game drive, aiming to spot tree-climbing lions and diverse wildlife. On the sixth day, embark on a morning game drive to find tree-climbing lions and perhaps even spot leopards. Afterward, head south to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest with packed lunch. Upon arrival, unwind before your upcoming thrilling gorilla tracking adventure the following day.After arriving, you can relax, and then prepare yourself for your first gorilla tracking experience on the next day.

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

On day seven, embark on a gorilla tracking expedition in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. After a briefing at the headquarters, venture into the forest to find these rare mountain gorillas, with a global population of just 1,000. Tracking can take anywhere from half an hour to eight hours, depending on their location. Spend a precious hour in their presence, forming a deep connection before returning to your lodge, cherishing the unforgettable encounter.

After a leisurely breakfast, journey to Lake Bunyonyi, arriving by early afternoon. Bwindi to Lake Bunyonyi

Today, unwind with a leisurely day swimming in the pristine, bilharzia-free waters of Lake Bunyonyi, known for its safety from crocodiles, hippos, and other wildlife. Expert swimmers can enjoy the lake's depths, ideal for canoeing amid its natural beauty. After lunch, visit the Bakora caves and engage with the local Batwa (pygmies) and Abaheesi (traditional blacksmiths) communities. Learn about their culture, traditions, and join in their cultural dances for a memorable end to your Uganda journey.

Back to Entebbe

At the recommended local time, transfer to the airstrip for your light aircraft flight returning to Entebbe. Although driving back is possible, it's a lengthy journey of over 10 hours, reaching late afternoon. Flying is the preferred option for convenience. Upon arrival in Entebbe, our representative will ensure a smooth transition to your international flight, leaving you with fond memories of your tour.
